Meet Shuishan (Susan) Lui, L.Ac.

Licensed Acupuncturist & Founder

Healing is personal, and I’m honored to be part of your journey. With more than 20 years of acupuncture experience and a foundation in both Eastern and Western medicine, I bring a holistic perspective to every treatment.

My Journey

My medical career began in Guangzhou, China, where I graduated from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences with an M.D. and completed a specialized postdoctoral clinical training module in Neurology. I practiced general medicine for eight years at Guangdong Rehabilitation Hospital, with a subspecialty focus in neurology. I later pursued advanced academic studies at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, completing certified clinical training in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

Bringing Expertise to Ohio

After relocating to the United States, I earned Diplomate status from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and became licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio. I also hold eligibility status for certification to prescribe Chinese herbs from the State Medical Board of Ohio. I serve as a practitioner at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine, where I work alongside physicians across many specialties, and I am a lifetime member of the Ohio Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (OAAOM).
